Diário do Nordeste:
Embolado no passado

Elis Regina - MPB Especial 1973 - DVD
No other Brazilian performer has marked our musical scene as strongly as Elis Regina (Porto Alegre, RS, 1945 - São Paulo, SP, 1982). Believed by some as the most influential and best Brazilian singer, Elis was also a highly controversial star. Her nickname, Pimentinha (Little Pepper), says it all.
Fato - Oquelatá Vivo
In 2000 I reviewed Fato's Oquelatá Quelateja album for Luna Kafé. The album, the fourth for the group, created a stir in the Brazilian press.
Fernanda Porto - Giramundo
After the 105,000 copies selling drum'n'bass influenced Fernanda Porto, the talented multi-instrumentalist is taking her music one step further. Where on the first album the drum'n'bass formed the basis for the music, on Giramundo an occasional drum'n'bass soundscape supports the compositions.
Gerli & Haroldo Goldfarb - O Lirismo de Paulinho Tapajós
When it comes to the music of Paulinho Tapajós (Rio de Janeiro, 1945), it is no exaggeration to say he has been a part of the Brazilian memory since the late 1960s.
Luiz Avellar, Nico Assumpção & Kiko Freitas - Tocando Victor Assis Brasil
This is an album that serves the memory of two outstanding musicians who passed away much too soon.
Teresa Ines: Ave Rara
So, here we are presented with a nicely produced and artistically performed gem featuring Teresa Ines singing Brazilian classics from Baden Powell, Haroldo Barbosa, Lenine, Chico Cesar, Tom Jobim and Edu Lobo.
Tom Jobim: Tom Canta Vinícius - Ao Vivo
The year 2000 celebrated the 20th anniversary of the death of one of the most celebrated poets and song writers in Brazilian music. Vinícius de Moraes (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 1913 - 1980) is associated with some of the best known Bossa Nova songs ever written.
